Elizabeth Denning Barnes

Elizabeth Denning Barnes, 57, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026, in Buffalo, New York, after a courageous struggle with Parkinson's that spanned more than a decade. She was surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on August 24, 1968, in Silver Spring, MD, Elizabeth was the cherished mother of Joy, stepmother of Kaleeyah, sister to David (April) and Lynn, and daughter of William (Candace) Barnes and Joyce Fong, and aunt to Matthew, Zachary, Nic and Angelo. She dearly loved her family, and she will be sorely missed. Her memory will not only be survived by her family, but the countless connections made during her 20 plus years in recovery and as a social worker in Erie County.

In the echoes of those who loved her most are the precious memories of Elizabeth's unwavering kindness and joy. May her legacy of love endure in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Arrangements are in the care of Lombardo's Funeral Home. There will be no calling hours. A celebration of life will take place this summer.
