Elizabeth Mortellaro

Elizabeth (Murvay) Mortellaro, a longtime resident of the Town of Tonawanda passed away June 13, 2022 in South Florida after a lengthy illness. She was married for 62 years to the late Carlo M. Mortellaro and is survived by her children Melanie (Edward) Segala of Coral Springs, Florida and Joseph (Cynthia) Mortellaro of Fairhope, Alabama. Mrs. Mortellaro is also survived by five grandchildren Justin, Lindsay, TJ, Maxwell, and Natalia Mortellaro, many nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law, Angeline Lauricella. She was born in Athens County, Ohio, the daughter of the late William and Esther Murvay and the youngest of 9 children. She is interred next to her husband at Elmlawn Cemetery in the Town of Tonawanda, where a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Mortellaro was an outstanding cook, homemaker, gardener, and conversationalist who took great interest in history, politics, current events, and the world around her. She will be deeply missed by the many lives she touched.
