Harrity, Ellen M. (nee Herr) of Hamburg, entered into rest on July 7, 2026. Beloved wife of James Harrity; devoted mother of Debra (Michael) Garrity, Lynn (Marc) Bonitati, Colleen Atkins and Lori Lepsch; cherished grandmother of Timothy (Ran Goo) Druzbik, Jenna (Chase) Bortel, Devon Lepsch, Bailey Lepsch (Steele Trib), Connor Bonitati, Diedrik Lepsch, Ciara Adkins (Trent Gillis), Cameron Bonitati and Brielle Lepsch; adored great grandmother of Sawyer, Lilliana, Clemence, and Penelope; loving daughter of the late Dorothy and Vincent Herr; dear sister of Guy (Joanne) Herr, Nelson (Beverly) Herr, Bonnie (late William) Castleberry, the late Vincent (Rose) Herr and the late Donald (late Nancy) Herr; also loved by nieces and nephews. Ellen was passionate about education and serving the people in her life. She wore many hats and was proud of her career as an RN BSN Educational Administrator, Supervisor of student teachers at Buffalo State College. She enjoyed spending time with her loving family and dear friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel) 3060 Abbott Rd. near Lake Ave. on Monday (July 13) from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Lake, 4737 Lake Shore Rd., Hamburg on Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock. Please assemble at Church. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Buffalo and the American Cancer Society.
