LAUFFER - Erwin W. Of Lancaster, entered into rest January 4, 2021. Beloved husband of Donna M. (nee Giancaterino), and the late Bettye Ann (nee Miller) Lauffer; devoted father of Laura (Robert) Knopf, David Reisch, Melissa (Zahareddine) Belguendouz, and the late Renee (Michael) Payne; cherished grandfather of Ryan (Heather) Payne, Rachel Knopf, John Knopf, and Zia Belguendouz; loving son of the late Edwin and Virginia Lauffer; dear brother of Elizabeth (late Nelson) Hiller, and Ernest (Karolyn) Lauffer; also survived by nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd. near Lake Ave., on Friday from 3-7 PM. A funeral service will be held in Grace in Community Church, 11269 Broadway, Alden, on Saturday afternoon at 1 oclock (please assemble at church). Pursuant to NYS guidelines, occupancy limitations will be observed. Please wear a face covering. Erwin served in Army National Guard and later was a former President of the Alden Lancaster Art Club.
