Estella H. Jackson

Estella H. Jackson, age 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 13th, 2024, at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY. She was born November 28, 1941 in Bessemer, AL to Alonzo and Estella Hooks. She was a graduate of Wenonah High School and moved to Buffalo, NY to attend the Ward Business School in 1961. She married Clarence E. Jackson, Sr on November 10, 1973 and worked as a secretary, beginning her career at Local United Way; Neighborhood House Association in Fruit Belt and moving on to work with General Electric for 20 years. She retired in 1995.She was predeceased by her husband Clarence E. Jackson, Sr, her brothers Flozell Hooks (Roberta), Joseph Hooks (Pauline), Charles Hooks (Mary) and is survived by her daughter, Chiari Jackson, her sisters, Inez Kimbrough (Paul) and Sharron Davis (Terry) and a large number of nieces, nephews and cousins she held close to her heart. Relatives and friends may visit St. John Baptist Church, 184 Goodell Street., Buffalo, NY 14204 on Friday 3/22 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM with a Funeral Service to immediately follow at 11AM.
