Esther Antoinette Bowen (née Marelli) of Depew went to be with Jesus and reunite with her husband of 47 years, Walter Bowen, on August 3, 2026, at the age of 91. She was born in Buffalo, NY, as a first‑generation American to Italian immigrants Michael and Anna Marelli on June 13, 1935. The youngest of seven children, she was predeceased by all six of her siblings and their spouses, except for her brother‑in‑law, Gene Grammatico, and sister‑in‑law, Ruth Marelli.

Esther was an aunt, great‑aunt, and great‑great‑aunt to 78 nieces and nephews. She was also lovingly known as “Grandma” to two families. She is further survived by many relatives through marriage and a lifetime of cherished friends. Her life exemplified Jesus by loving sacrificially, giving unconditionally, and making every person in her life feel valued. She will be missed greatly and forever held in our hearts.

A funeral service will be held at The Tabernacle, 3210 Southwestern Blvd., Orchard Park, on Saturday (September 12) at 11:00 a.m.

Interment at Lancaster Rural Cemetery.
