Ethel Volpe

Of Williamsville, entered into rest March 28, 2015. She was born in Buffalo and was a graduate of Lafayette High School and attended Bryant Stratton Business School. She worked for Niagara Mohawk Corp. for 25 years before taking early retirement in 1984. She moved to Williamsville in 1985 where she was very active and enjoyed walking, biking, dancing and traveling in addition to cooking. Her winter months were spent at her Ft. Myers, Florida home. She loved spending time at the water walking the beach and meeting people. She did volunteer work at Lee Memorial Hospital in Ft. Myers. She was the loving daughter of the late Angelo and Margaret Volpe; dear sister of the late Frank (Antoinette) Volpe, the late Frances Monkelbaan (late Ted) , Eleanora (late Bernard) Milligan, the late Elvera (late Garvie) Crane and the late Angelo (Jean) Volpe; also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. No prior visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pius X Church, 1700 North French Rd., Getzville on Tuesday April 7, at 10 o'clock. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
