Of Amherst, entered into rest April 7, 2017, beloved husband of 65 years to Rosemary (nee Hebeler) Knab; devoted father of Susan (Terry) Michalske, Shirley Knab, Kathy (Robert) Pearce, Diane (Dave) Weinheimer, Gerry (Ruth) Knab and Ann (Paul) Bosco; cherished grandfather of Kate and Stosh Michalske, Robert (Jenny) Pearce Jr., Maria Pearce, Patricia (Thomas) Fuentes Jr., Andrew, Mark, Paul and Thomas Pearce, Matthew, Emily and Stephen Weinheimer, Lydia (Andrew) Reinert, Genevieve (Ryan) Finke, Maggie (Michael) Dayton and Olivia Bosco; fond great-grandfather of Robert III and Charlotte Pearce, Addison and Thomas Fuentes III; dear brother of five brothers and four sisters; also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME, (Northtowns Chapel), 885 Niagara Falls Blvd. Eggert/Sheridan Dr. on Sunday from 1-5 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Leo the Great Church, 885 Sweet Home Rd., Amherst, on Monday morning at 9:15 o'clock. (Please assemble at church.) Mr. Knab served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
