Florence Hojnacki

Hojnacki, Florence (nee Derenda) 1925-2025 Died peacefully at home. Florence was a life-long Buffalo resident. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony (Tony) Hojnacki, loving mother of Paul Hojnacki, Karen (Jim) Schultz, and Marie (Garrett Sullivan) Hojnacki of State College, PA and dear Gram of Anna (Cory Bartos) Hojnacki of Portland, OR, Claire (Cris Champion) Hojnacki, and Derek (Michelle Bouffard) Schultz. Florence was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Lottie (Szymanski) Derenda, and her siblings and their spouses: Sophie (Frank) Rusek, Irene (Leon) Bielat, Edward Derenda, Benedict (Frances) Derenda, Joanna (Alfred) Strzalek, Frances (Al) Urbanski, Chester (Carol) Derenda, Richard (Jane) Derenda, and Henry (Audrey) Derenda. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. As a young woman, Florence worked as a glass etcher for Cataract Sharp. She left work to focus on raising her family. Florence took great pride in her garden and enjoyed tending to it each summer. The family will be present to receive visitors Friday, January 24 from 4 to 8 PM at the Lombardo Funeral Home, 4614 Main Street, Snyder. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday, January 25 at 10:00AM at St. Joseph University Parish, 3269 Main Street, Buffalo. Please assemble at the church.
