GODWIN, Francis “Joe” of Lackawanna, entered into rest June 12, 2026. Beloved husband of Diane (nee May) Godwin; devoted father of Joey (Kim) Godwin, Mark (Robyn) Godwin, and Denise Woodhead; cherished grandfather of Ryan (Val Kiker) Godwin, Krisha (Travis) Johnson, and Brandon Woodhead; adored great-grandfather Rea; loving son of the late Francis and Marie Godwin; dear brother of Mary Ellen (late Jim) Kearn, James (Mary) Godwin, Jean (late Mike0 Doherty, Jane (Ed) Wiesner, late Bob (late Margaret) Godwin, late Joan (late Buzz) Wolf, late John (Debbie) Godwin, and the late Patrick (Kathy) Godwin; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends. 

Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel) 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave. on Monday (June 22nd) from 10-12, where a Prayer Service will immediately follow. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Joe retired as Railroad Engineer with CSX after 42 years. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to a charity of your choice.
