On November 22, 2019, Francis Xavier Tubbs, chef extraordinaire and father of 2 children, passed peacefully in his sleep after a long battle with cancer. Frank was born October 23, 1950 in Rochester, NY to Francis Tubbs and Agatha (Young) Tubbs. He was a proud graduate of McQuaid High School and the Culinary Institute of America, and a US Navy veteran. Chefy worked in a number of restaurants in the Rochester and Buffalo areas, and he had a large restaurant family who he remembered fondly. He loved the Bills, creating intricate sculptures from fruit or ice, and watching his grandchildren do what they love. Frank was preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by his children, Shannon Tani and Jared Tubbs, son-in-law Katsufumi Tani, grandchildren Taiga and Misha, brother Mark Tubbs, sister Mary Ann Davis, and many other relatives and friends.
