Of Cheektowaga, Entered into rest December 20, 2011; beloved husband of Maryann (nee Grantinetti) Mendola; devoted father of Deborah and Sandra Zamito; cherished grandfather of Angelica and Cara; loving son of the late Calogero and Calogera (nee Sardo) Mendola; dear brother of Frances (Daniel) Mancini and the late Charles, Sam (late Flo) and Angelo "Gee" Mendola; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Mendola served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
