Frank J. Moley

.. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the loss of the Founder and CEO of FJM & Associates of Buffalo - Frank J. Moley. Frank passed peacefully at In Hospice at home, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 15th, 2022. He leaves behind his wife, Christine, sons Joseph & Paul and daughters Melissa (Laird) and Kari along with 7 grandchildren and 1 on the way. Frank will be greatly missed by family, friends, colleagues and co-workers and remembered fondly by the thousands of folks he interacted with during his long career in Sales and Insurance. Frank grew up in Lancaster, NY, attending Lancaster High School and later the University of Buffalo as a Music Major. Around this time Frank and his brother, Joe, along with a few other friends formed a band called Good Feelings which developed a strong following in and around the Buffalo area for over a decade, playing at many local taverns, restaurants, wedding receptions and other venues. In addition to being an outstanding Trumpet player, Frank had a marvelous singing voice, handling lead vocals on most of their songs. It was during these times that Frank got started in what would turn into a 50+ year career in the Insurance Industry when he took an entry-level position with a Supplemental Insurance carrier to do in-house sales. Although this position did not last, it paved the way for Frank to eventually secure an appointment with a major Life Insurance carrier. During his 10+ years with this company, he met and exceeded all sales and production goals, won numerous awards, attended multiple company and industry conferences and was quickly promoted to Sales Manager. In 1995, Franks connection to the Insurance Industry took a pivotal turn when he was introduced to the world of Supplemental Insurance and Voluntary Benefits with an Industry Leader looking for a strong intro to the New York small business market. Over the next 10 years, Frank and his team exceeded all territory recruiting, sales and new account goals while helping thousands of people protect their family finances in the event of a serious accident or critical illness. His son Paul joined him right after high school in 1999. After working closely with 100s of small business owners over the years, Frank realized that this forgotten market was seriously under-serviced by the so-called big guys of the Insurance Industry and saw the need to expand the products and services he could offer them, creating the genesis of FJM & Associates of Buffalo. Frank initially developed a partnership with a local Financial Services firm headquartered in Niagara Falls, NY to develop their existing Employee Benefits division. With the support and dedication of his son Paul, his daughter Melissa and several strategic Broker alliances, they were able to take a handful of active accounts with a couple hundred employees to over 800 businesses of all sizes, representing nearly 10,000 insureds. Under Franks guidance, the team at FJM & Associates became experts in the world of Employee Benefits while learning the value of providing responsive and consistent customer service. In 2019, Frank elected to dissolve the partnership, buy-out the existing block of ongoing business and establish FJM & Associates of Buffalo, Inc. as a wholly separate entity. Over the past 3 years, even with the many challenges weve all faced, FJM & Associates has consistently grown their operation year over year to finish very strong in 2021. 2022 looks like it will be substantially better. As the owners of FJM & Associates, Paul and Melissa feel that the best way to honor the legacy of their father is to continue espousing the values and principals that Frank instilled in them from day one. They pledge to always give their clients the respect and consideration they deserve while continuing to offer the highest levels of customer service.
