Of Lackawanna, entered into rest September 9, 2025. Beloved husband of Katherine M. (nee Wilson) DeTample; devoted father of Salvatrice (William Patrick) Maroney, Lisa (Michael) Harris and Jennifer (William) Duncan; cherished grandfather of Joshua, Samantha, Sarah, Philip, Morgan, Paige and Lexi; dear brother of Milton and the late David DeTample. Mr. DeTample was a US Army veteran during the Vietnam War. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel) 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave. on Thursday (September 11) from 4-7PM. A funeral service will immediately follow. A private entombment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gary’s name to Hospice Foundation.
