Gary Scott Krasinski

KRASINSKI - Gary Scott 45, of Amherst, New York, passed away January 21, 2022 after a brief illness. Gary came into this world on the night of the Sabres overtime win in Game 2 of the 1976 Stanley Cup quarterfinals. He celebrated all Buffalo sports teams, but held a special love for the Boston Red Sox, to the playful chagrin of his Yankee-fan father. Loyal, kind, and generous, with a dash of mischievousness, Gary loved nothing more than to bring joy to his family and friends: grilling delicious meals, going on spontaneous adventures, giggling over jokes and Coming to America movie quotes. His radiant smile and surplus of charm could soften the most hardened hearts. He devoured books, especially by author Stephen King, and had the best garden on the block. A lifelong resident of Western New York, Gary worked in culinary arts, manufacturing, and medical technical support. Recently he pivoted to pursue a degree as a clinical lab technologist, where he excelled in solving chemistry problems that stumped his family of scientists. He graduated from Kenmore East High School in 1994. Gary is survived by his mother Connie Vari and father Gary Krasinski, Sr.; stepfather Andras Vari and stepmother Cindy Krasinski; his beloved fiance Jaime Rasco, her children Gavin and Ava, and their family dog Jackson; sister Maria Krasinski; grandparents Pat and Kenneth Jurek; step-siblings Vanessa Vari, Jocelyn (Maurice) Belisle, David (Beth) Vari, Amanda Kish, and Kristle Kish; and a constellation of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. Special thanks to his Aunt Bonnie who helped with his care, with no shortage of food, laughs, and love. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME, (Northtowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd., near Eggert/ Sheridan Dr. on Thursday, January 27, from 3-7 PM with a Funeral Service immediately to follow.
