KLEINMANN - George Kenneth Of North Tonawanda, NY, July 16, 2023. George Kleinmann, born October 26, 1942 in Pittsburgh, PA. Son of the late Joseph Leo Kleinmann, Jr. and the late Elizabeth (Reutzel) Kleinmann. Beloved husband of 56 years of Sharon (Gerlach) Kleinmann; loving father of John (Karen) Kleinmann, Christina (Michael) Carney, and Julie (Carl) Doody; dearest grandfather of Alicia Vaughn, Emma Kleinmann, Gavin (fianc Ciera Chamberlain) Twoey, Samantha (fianc Jonathan Tedesco) Carney, and William Doody. Brother of Robert Kleinmann, and the late Joseph Kleinmann. Brother-in-law of Charlene Weibel, Donna Kleinmann, and John (Jean) Gerlach. Survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. George moved to Cheektowaga as a young boy in the early 1950s when his father was transferred here for work. After graduating from high school, George served in the US Air Force from 1961 to 1964. After his honorable discharge from the Air Force, George started working in the contact lens industry, eventually co-owning a successful manufacturing and distribution company, Frontier Contact Lens Laboratory, for over twenty years. He was an avid Bills, Sabres, and Yankees fan, and was a former member of St. Josephs Church in North Tonawanda, and St. Christophers Church in Tonawanda. Family will receive relatives and friends at the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME, (Northtowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd., (near Eggert/Sheridan) on Friday from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Christophers Church, 2660 Niagara Falls Blvd., Tonawanda on Saturday morning at 11:00 oclock (please assemble at church). Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society and St. Judes Your browser does not support this video format.
