Beloved husband of nearly 70 years to Myrtle (nee Ketcheson) May; devoted father of Cheryl (James) Kauffmann, Michael (Corinne) May, Dale (Mary) May, and Kathleen May Shields; cherished grandfather of Tyler (Marcelina), Chelsea, Jennifer (Romon), Crystal (Justin), Brittany (Dominic), Dean (Jocelynn), Michael (Maria), Jeremy, and Justin; great-grandfather of 9; loving son of the late Rebecca West Hartley; dear brother of the late Beverly Landry; also survived by many loving family and friends. George was a proud veteran of the United States Armed Forces. He was an avid fisherman, and served as the superintendent of the Erie County SPCA for 46 years.
