SCHENK - Gerald P. Of Lackawanna, entered into rest October 20, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen (nee Fox) Schenk; devoted father of Patrick (Sabrina) Schenk and Dr. Kristen (Paul) Robillard; cherished grandfather of Katherine, Michele, Rachel, Ashley and Evan; loving son of the late Frank and Margaret Schenk; proud brother of the original Fr. Baker boys. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME, (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd. near Lake Ave. on Sunday from 4-8 PM where prayers will be said on Monday morning at 9:30 o'clock and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church at 10 o'clock. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Mr. Schenk was a Marine Corps veteran of WW II and a veteran of the Navy Seabees in the Korean War. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made, in Gerald's memory, to the Cause for Canonization of Fr. Nelson Baker.
