SCHMITT, Gerard M. Sr. "Jerry" Of North Tonawanda, entered into rest on May 1, 2023. Beloved husband of 60 years to Mary Ann (nee Massaro) Schmitt; devoted father of Mary Beth (Kevin) Haskill, Linda (Chris) Schmitt-Berlinger, Joanne (Mike) Schmitt, Kathleen (Chris) Coon, Barbara (Brian) Simpson, Gerard M. Jr. (Mary) Schmitt, Amy (John) Hinze, and Kristen Love; cherished grandfather of 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; loving son of the late Andrew and Lucille (nee Busch) Schmitt; dear brother of the late Ronald Schmitt and Darleen Lingo; also survived by nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst (near Eggert Rd.) on Monday from 10AM-2PM, for a gathering in Jerrys memory with Military Honors to immediately follow. Mr. Schmitt was a US Navy Veteran. Working in printing for most of his life, Jerry was also an avid boater and a dedicated Bills, Sabres, and LA Dodgers fan.
