MARCHESE - Giovanna "JoAnn"(nee Bruccoleri) Of Buffalo, entered into rest April 16, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Charles S. Marchese; devoted mother of Mary (Albert) Nemmer, Joseph (Gina), and Frank (Liz) Marchese; cherished grandmother of Albert (Emily), Alex (Leah), Ashley, Frank, Alyssa, and Amia; adored great-grandmother of Joshua, Liliana, Alexander, Gabriella, Brett, Mia, Nya, Julius, and Jovana; loving daughter of the late Frank and Grazziella Bruccoleri; dear sister of Ann (Peter) Esposto, Nick (Sandra) Bruccoleri, and the late Lena (late Joe) DeFelippis and the late Dino (Marianna) Bruccoleri; also survived by many family and friends from the United States and Canada. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Snyder Chapel) 4614 Main St., near Harlem Rd. on Wednesday from 3-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Nativity Blessed Virgin Mary, 4375 Harris Hill Rd., Williamsville, on Thursday morning at 10:30 oclock, please assemble at Church. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. JoAnn immigrated from Sicily to Canada in 1949. In 1954, she married Charles in Hamilton, ON and moved to the United States a year later. Soon after they established Pepes Deli on the Westside where JoAnn joyfully served all her great customers as the owner and operator for 35 years. JoAnn resided at Bristol Village for 14 years making her the longest resident to reside there. She was cared for tremendously by all the staff. Family was always the most important part of JoAnns life and she will be missed by all.
