MAROTTO - Girard J. "Jerry" Of West Seneca, entered into rest February 12, 2016, beloved husband of Rita R. (nee Strauss) Marotto; devoted father of Girard "Jerry" Marotto, Mark (Elizabeth) Marotto and David (Melanie) Marotto; cherished grandfather of Amanda, Elizabeth, Mark, Girard, Elena and David; great-grandfather of Mia Rose; loving son of the late Pasquale and Angeline Marotto; dear brother of Anthony (late Marguerite) Marotto, Louise (late Calvin) Caruso, Katherine (Angelo) Sebastiano, Rosemary (late Thomas) Salo, Mildred (late Lloyd) Bennett, Mary (Vincent) Caruana, Patricia (Ralph) Avolio, Richard (Barbara) Marotto and the late Anne (late Vincent) Santoro; also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd. near Lake Ave. on Monday from 3-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Vianney Church, 2950 Southwestern Blvd., Orchard Park on Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock. (Please assemble at church). Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Mr. Marotto was an Army veteran of the Korean War and past Commander of the Francis A. Lombardo American Legion Post #1031. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Buffalo or Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Jerry's name. Mr. Marotto was a long time owner of Marotto's/DuBois Restaurant and Bar and a familiar face in downtown Buffalo for many years.
