Henry Truman Quarles, Jr. was born on October 20, 1968 in Buffalo, New York to the late Henry Truman and Yvonne (nee' Hairston) Quarles, Sr. who predeceased him in death. On Tuesday, March 17, 2026, while in the care of Home Hospice, and after a lengthy illness, Henry surrounded by his devoted wife of 27 years, Jeanine and their children, Chundra and Isaiah; Henry quietly answered God's call to return from labor to reward.
Henry accepted Christ at an early age and was educated in the Buffalo Public School System, from which he graduated in 1988. Henry joined the United States Army Reserves on June 21, 1989 as a Combat Engineer. During his military enlistment, Henry received various accommodations including that of Marksmen with the M16 Rifle, and Expert in Hand Grenade Warfare. Upon receiving an Honorable Discharge from the United States Army Reserves on June 24, 1997, Henry gained employment as a Security Officer, working in various hospitals and clinics throughout Erie County. Henry was afforded many additional training opportunities during his many years as a Security Officer including classes with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as a First Responder Hostage Negotiator. Henry met Jeanine R. Hardy in 1995 and they were united in Holy Matrimony on October 23, 1999. To their union (3) children were born, Javon, Chundra and Isaiah. In his spare time besides being a member of "The Bills Mafia", Henry learned how to produce radio and TV shows and went on to have his own show on W.H.L.D. @ Totally Gospel where he became one of the first Gospel hip-hop DJ's on the radio. Henry started Gospel Youth Events where different hip-hop artists would showcase their talents and perform making Henry a well-known Gospel DJ in the Christian World in Buffalo and other states.
Henry leaves to mourn his wife of 27 years, Jeanine; (8) children: Chundra, Isaiah, Michael, Adrian, Elijah, Melissa, Christina, & Aaliyah; (2) siblings: Dawnie & Danielle (Herman); (7) grandchildren; Jason & Dawn and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Henry was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Javon; and a sister, Sherri Quarles.
A Service of Military Honors will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at The Martha P. Mitchell Community Center, 175 Oakmont Avenue, Buffalo, New York followed by a Celebration of Life.
