Of Buffalo entered into rest on June 5, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Ralph DiPalma; devoted mother of Philip (Susan) DiPalma, Elizabeth Timineri, Stephen (Darlene), Ralph (Diane), Samuel (Patricia), Jody (Cheryl), Pamela, Darryl (Phyllis), DiPalma, Ann Louise (Joe) Cordova, and Jeffrey (Brandi) DiPalma; cherished grandmother of 18 grandchildren including the late Michael DiPalma; adored great-grandmother of 19; treasured great-great grandmother of 2; loving daughter of the late Samuel and Bertha Ricotta; loving step-daughter of Josephine Ricotta; dear sister of Joseph (Paulette) Ricotta, late Charlotte (late Jim) McParland, and late Rose (late Greg) Guido; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Ida DiPalma was a loving wife and mother who was devoted to her family. She had a passion for cooking and baking, both for her family as well as cooking in various restaurants she and her husband Ralph owned. A woman of faith, Ida was both an avid churchgoer who served as lector and Eucharistic minister and worked diligently to instill her love of Jesus with her family. A caring woman, Ida served as a volunteer with Meals on Wheels for several years and also loved spending time with students when she worked in the cafeteria of ECC’s city campus. One of her greatest joys, in addition to being with her family, was time spent with her husband both on the dance floor and in driving excursions in their convertible.
Friends and relatives may visit the Lombardo Funeral Home (Northtowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd., near Eggert Rd., on Monday, June 8 from 2-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 9 in Holy Spirit Church 85 Dakota Street, Buffalo at 10 AM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Holy Spirit Church.
