Ivo Mohorovicic

MOHOROVICIC - Ivo Of Blasdell, entered into rest June 27, 2016 after a brief illness. Beloved husband of Dorit (nee Kirner) Mohorovicic; devoted father of John and Mark Mohorovicic; cherished grandfather of Max, David, Nikolaus and Madeline; loving son of the late Bozidar and Marija Mohorovicic; also survived by relatives and friends. No prior visitation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Bistrica Church, 1619 Abbott Rd., Lackawanna on Friday morning (July 22) at 10 o'clock. Ivo was a born near Opatija, Croatia in 1930 and escaped from Yugoslavia in the years following WW II to start a new life in the USA. He worked many years as a draftsman for Bethlehem Steel and ATSI before enjoying a lengthy retirement. Arrangements by LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel).
