It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of James D. Cobb, who passed away on July 11th, 2026 at the age of 93 in Buffalo, New York.

James was born on March 27th, 1933 in Orangeville, Ohio to Fred and Frieda Cobb. 

He worked as a crane operator for Shenango Steel and retired as a steel worker from American Brass for a number of years. 

He cherished his family and friends. James was dedicated to spending time with his loving wife of 63 years, Sandra, their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Cobb (nee Geisel); daughter, Barbara O’Donnell (nee Cobb) and her partner Allan Ball of Salem, NH; sons, James A. Cobb and his wife Jackie of Plattsburgh, NY, and David Cobb of Indiana; He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 19th, 2026 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at Lombardo Funeral Home, 3060 Abbott Road, Orchard Park, NY 14127. Military honors and prayer service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in North Boston, NY, or that acts of kindness be performed in James’ memory.

James will be remembered for his love of family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
