SHEEHAN - James J. Of Orchard Park, entered into rest June 27, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Joan M. (nee Bean) Sheehan; devoted father of Nora (Robert Cook) Sheehan, Nancy (Marc Ruettimann) Sheehan, John (Donna Lee) Sheehan, Philip (Olga) Sheehan and Steven (Christine Johnson) Sheehan; cherished grandfather of Emily, Melissa, Laurie, Dennis, Nicholas, Alexander, Jason, Cynthia, James, Joelle, Dana, Erica, Chelsea, Melissa, Philip and Cullen; adored great-grandfather of 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; loving son of the late John and Catherine Sheehan; dear brother of Catherine Sheehan, Timothy Sheehan, and the late Mary Rita Rucker, Isabelle Murphy, Alice Sheehan, Jack Sheehan, and William Sheehan; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave., on Monday from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 3148 Abbott Rd., Orchard Park, on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock (please assemble at church). Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined, if desired donations may be made to Mercy Hospital Foundation. Mr. Sheehan was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War. He also retired from the U.S. Postal Service and S.M. Flickingers Company. He cherished his many friends from The R.o.m.e.o. Club, Postal retirees, and Southtowns YMCA Silver Sneakers, where he was fondly referred to as "The Chairman."
