NEWTON - James P. Of Tonawanda, entered into rest December 9, 2016, beloved husband of Rita (nee Kollmar) Newton; devoted father of Donna (Peter) Rohrbacker, Linda (Francis) Cunningham and Mary (Jack) Schifferli; cherished grandfather of Kaitlin, Amanda, Francis and Megan; loving son of the late Robert and Lucille Newton; dear brother of the late John Newton; also survived by relatives and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel), 885 Niagara Falls Blvd. near Eggert/Sheridan Dr. on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Christopher's Church, 2660 Niagara Falls Blvd., Tonawanda on Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock. (Please assemble at church). Mr. Newton was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
