Of Westchester, New York, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him.

He was the beloved son of the late James W. Oswald and Maria Rosario Oswald (née Melgar). He is survived by his devoted and loving friend, Robyn Trippi; his cherished "daughter," Kelli Burt (affectionately known as Li, G-Girl, and Kelli G); his dear aunt, Hareclea "Harri" Hartofilis; several cousins; and his close friends, Eric Baum (Buddy) and Mark Elliott (Chief). Loving dad to fur babies Hannah, Shelby and Sophie.

Jim had an infectious zest for life and a remarkable ability to bring joy, warmth, and light to everyone he encountered. His presence left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was a passionate fan of the New York Yankees and the Alabama Crimson Tide, always cheering them on with enthusiasm and loyalty.

Jim will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives he touched.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor and remember him.
