PURPORA - James Of Grand Island, entered into rest on May 8, 2021. Beloved husband of Donna (nee Abbatoy) Purpora; devoted, loving and selfless father of Jim (Trena), Kathy (Mark) and Steven (Samantha); cherished grandfather of Garidon, Alexis, Dominic, Steven, Julia, Francesca and Alexandra; loving and supportive brother to Joann (Bill) and Janet (Wayne); brother-in-law to Dan (Charlene) and Dave (Cynthia), former wife Rita; also survived by aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Stephens Church, 2100 Baseline Rd., Grand Island on Saturday (May 22nd) at 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Buffalo.
