James Torre

Torre, James, 84, of Darien Center, entered into rest on April 23, 2024. Beloved husband of 52 years to Diane (nee Kendall) Torre; devoted father of Joseph (Kate) Torre, Rochelle Torre and Donia Torre; cherished grandfather of Amanda (Angelo) Fatta and Nathaniel (Elizabeth) Torre; great-grandfather to 2 great-grandchildren; loving son of the late Joseph and Santa (nee Tomasello) Torre and dear brother of the late Andrew Torre and Catherine Torre. James was a harness horse driver at Batavia Downs and Buffalo Raceway. He held the title of leading driver several times. In his later years he worked construction. James enjoyed refinishing furniture and selling antiques at the flea market. Per James request, a private family service will be held.
