Jamie Lynne Mcmurray

Jamie Lynne McMurray, 28, of Main St. Buffalo, passed away Tuesday morning, May 21, at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY, after a hard-fought battle with a fierce liver/kidney disease. She was surrounded by her family and passed peacefully. Jamie was born June 19, 1990 in Amherst, NY. She attended Frontier Central schools in Hamburg before moving to Cadyville, NY, where she graduated from Saranac Central in 2008. She returned to Buffalo and in 2012, Jamie graduated with a BA in History from the University at Buffalo. She was a nature lover and would hike for hours discovering new places. She loved animals often caring for other's pets. Charlie, her cat held a special place in her heart. Jamie was an avid photographer with a keen eye, absorbing all she could from her mentor John. A lover of music & strong advocate of many local bands. She was a compassionate friend to all, demonstrating over & over that kindness matters. Working for the NY ACLU, her kindness shined. Jamie loved sports & as a true western New Yorker, loudly cheered for the Buffalo Bills & the NY Yankees. She is survived by her parents Michael & Cindy McMurray, her sister Ashley & Corey McLennan (niece Meadow & nephew Owen), Uncle Stephen & Joyce McMurray and cousin Derek, Aunts Joan Page & Janet Page Litts and by John Curr. She is predeceased by paternal grandparents Howard A. Jr. and Carol Page McMurray. We love you Jamie, forever. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9am-11am, at Lombardo Funeral Home (885 Niagara Falls Blvd)
