Jane Mary Novelli, RN February 18, 1957 December 13, 2024 of West Seneca entered unto rest after a courageous struggle with ALS, in the tender care of her beloved Caregivers at Mercy Nursing Facility at OLV. Precious sister of Sandra Christy, RN and Dr. David Novelli (Suzanne); devoted daughter of The Late John and Mary Novelli; cherished aunt of Julia (Dr. Jason) Pericak, Dr. Stephen (Jacqueline) Novelli, Sheila (Nicholas) Tober, PA, Brian (Jocelyn) Christy, Janine (Kyle) Christy-Pace; Dr. Kevin Christy, Amelia, Mariella, and Oliver Pericak, Chloe and Clara Christy, Isabella Novelli, Hazel and Elliette Horvatits; niece of precious aunts, Dorothy Suffoletto and Jacqueline Paolucci, and many devoted cousins whom Jane loved and embraced at family reunions every summer. Jane spent Thanksgiving last month with 28 of her closest family! Jane received her RN degree from Erie Community College; BA degree from University at Buffalo; Masters degree in Counseling from SUNY Oswego. Jane cared for patients mostly in critical care specialties at Roswell Park (Urology), Millard Fillmore (ICU), DaVita (Dialysis), Independent Nursing Care (Homecare), and at New Hanover Regional Medical Center (CCU) in NC. In the later years of her career, Jane felt a pull to minister spiritually to her patients. Janes passion for Nursing and healing inspired 5 of her nieces and nephews to pursue careers in the healthcare field. Janes deep, abiding, unfailing faith sustained her, and directed her to joy and gratitude even in the most difficult times. This legacy of unwavering faith is a gift to all who knew Jane. She was an avid and excellent skier, who reveled in making snow angels on the slopes! Jane was the perfect Mom to her Late Dog, Vicki, who was the love of her life. No prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Queen of Heaven Church, 4220 Seneca St., West Seneca on Saturday, December 21 at 9:00 AM. Please assemble at the church.
