COWLES - Janet Jo (nee Pascaretta) Age 73 of Town of Tonawanda, daughter of the late Anthony Louis & Josephine Crusiffisa (nee Nasca) Pascaretta. Janet leaves behind her beloved husband Terry Jon Cowles, loving mother of Karen Jo Cowles & cherished grandmother of Aiden Christopher Cowles, She is survived by one brother Anthony Louis Pascaretta Jr (Edna) of Houston, Texas. Along with many friends that loved her dearly & Cousins. Predeceased by her parents. Janet was born in Dunkirk, New York on October 1, 1949, attended Dunkirk schools, a graduate of Dunkirk High School; State University of New York at Fredonia Bachelors degree, Buffalo State College which Janet holds a Masters Degree in Special Education. Janet married her loving husband on November 17, 1984 in Orchard Park, New York. Janet worked for many years at West Seneca Developmental Center; Buffalo Public Schools & closed her career as a Substitute Teacher for Ken-Ton Schools. In addition, Janet was a Biblical Counselor at The Chapel at Crosspoint. Janet loved life, Cats, Foxes & wild life animals. A Christian woman who had been involved in various ministries throughout the years: Evangelism, womens ministries/Bible studies. Janet is known for her love for the Word of God; reading a good book; a love for traveling. Janet lost her life during open heart surgery at SSM Health DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, Missouri. Relatives and friends may visit the Lombardo Funeral home (northtowns chapel) 885 Niagara falls Blvd (near Eggert/Sheridan) On Saturday from 4-8 and Sunday from 2:00 - 8:00PM. A celebration of Janets life will be held at the Chapel at Crosspoint, Getzville, NY in the Andrews Chapel Monday at 10:00. All who loved Janet are welcome. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery section 10, lot 1773. Donations in Janets memory may be made to The Chapel at Cross Point.
