Janet Scholterer

(nee Corbin) Of Snyder, formerly of Clarence Center, entered into rest September 22, 2010. Beloved wife of the late John C. Scholterer; devoted mother of Karen (Alan) Willard and Susan (Brad) Luff; cherished grandmother of Sarah and Ryan Willard; daughter of the late Kenneth D. and the late Thelma (nee Sievenpiper) Corbin; sister of Donna (late James) Corbin O'Mara; also survived by loving family members and friends. As a young woman, Janet was the Waterfront Director at Camp Aloha, a Camp Fire Girls camp in Wales Center, N.Y., where her love for nature began and always remained with her. In the sixties, she served as an advisor to a Camp Fire Girls Horizon Club. For many years, she was a member of Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority and also served as a volunteer for the SPCA of Erie County; taking pets to visit residents of area nursing homes. No prior visitation.
