Jean L. Gress

Jean L. Gress, 73, of Depew, New York died Sunday, April 24, 2022. Born in Buffalo, New York she was a life resident of the area. She was the daughter of the late Newton and Evelyn Leminger Stewart and sister of the late Mary (Robert) Gress. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Patrick Mastrangelo, Sr. Other than family her greatest love was for dogs. She enjoyed sewing, reading and crafting. Donating her personally made pillows and blankets to those in need. Mrs. Gress retired from the Buffalo Board of Education in 2021 following 35 plus years of service. Jean is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Mastrangelo and Jennifer (James) Barr; her loving grandchildren, Amber (Alex) Rosenberg, James (Mariah) Barr, Christine Barr, Madelynn Mastrangelo and Patrick Mastrangelo, Jr. and great-grandchildren Aidan, Augustus and Benjamin in addition to a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the Lombardo Funeral Home (Northtowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd. near Eggert/Sheridan on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery will be private.
