Jean Marie Szary of Depew, NY entered into rest September 6, 2026; Beloved aunt of Jean M. (Robert) Felber, Jr., Joseph A. (Margo) Catalano and Michael T. Catalano; cherished great aunt of Jennifer Felber, Robert Felber, III, Jacki Pasqualetti and Michael (Samantha) Catalano; devoted great great aunt of Michael Catalano; loving daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy Szary; dear sister of the late Sally Catalano and treasured friend of 40 years to Mary Pat Bonnes. For 22 years, Jean devoted her life to serving others as a nun of The Sister's of St. Francis in Williamsville. Her years of faith, compassion, and service were a meaningful part of her life and reflected her generous heart and desire to make a difference in the lives of those around her. After leaving the convent, Jean went on to help the lives of children as a manager and caseworker with Hopevale, Inc. and then as a crossing guard at Cheektowaga Central Schools. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 5337 Genesee St., Bowmansville on Friday September 11th, at 10 AM. Please assemble at church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean's name to Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
