Jean Slomba

Jean Slomba, aged 85, passed away on September 12, 2024, in Buffalo, NY. Born on November 30, 1938, in North Tonawanda, NY, Jean was known for her loving, caring, kind, and compassionate nature. Jean's life was rich with experiences and joy brought on by her varied hobbies. She cherished her travels to Las Vegas and the Adirondacks, enjoyed the camaraderie at Richards Naval reunions, and the peacefulness of fishing at Rice Lake in Canada. Jean was also an active participant in the Garden Club displays at the Erie County Fair and found joy in camping trips with friends and family. Special evenings out with her husband, Richard, were treasured moments. Jean is survived by her loving husband, Richard Slomba; her son, Gary Slomba; her daughter, Gloria Slomba; and her brother, John Zaharkin. A private service will be held to honor Jeans life. Lombardo Funeral Home in Amherst, NY is assisting the family with the arrangements. Jean's memory will be cherished by all who knew her, as she leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean's name can be made to Hospice Buffalo or to St. Leo the Great Church.
