CUMPSTON - Jerry M. Of Amherst, entered into rest May 3, 2016. Beloved former husband of the late Jean R. Cumpston; devoted father of Deborah L. (Thomas Jr.) Hersey and Richard (Karen) Cumpston; cherished grandfather of Thomas III (Johanna) Hersey, Richard Cumpston Jr., Timothy Hersey, Nicholas Hersey, Aaron Cumpston and Marcus Cumpston; loving son of the late Alfred and Jewell Cumpston; dear brother of Lewis L. Cumpston and the late Alfred Cumpston Jr.; Honorary Brother of Ernie (Pat) Colantino; also survived by nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel), 885 Niagara Falls Blvd. near Eggert/Sheridan Dr. on Monday from 4-8 PM, where the Funeral Service will be held Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Mr. Cumpston served for 54 years with the Eggertsville Hose Company, where he was a Past Chief, and was a retired Boilermaker from Local No. 7. In lieu of flowers, donations to Eggertsville Hose Company, 1880 Eggert Rd., Amherst, NY 14226 in Jerry's name would be appreciated.
