Jerry J. Richter Sept 18, 1936 - Nov 17, 2023 Beloved husband of 61 years to Rita (nee Walder), passed peacefully, surrounded by family. Proud father of eight children, Michael, Amy (John) Pope, Mark (Mandy), James (Brenda), John (Jennifer), Mary, Meaghan (Dan) Olivia, predeceased by infant John Gabriel. Twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren were the joy of his life, and he is survived by many nieces and nephews. Survived by brother Donald (Dorothy) Richter. Welcomed home by his beloved parents, Joseph and Bertha Richter, sister Dorothy (Leonard) Kwiatkowski, and brother Joseph (Connie). Relatives and friends may visit the Lombardo Funeral Home (Northtowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd (near Eggert/ Sheridan Dr.) Amherst on Tuesday (11/21) from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial to be held on Wednesday (11/22) morning at 11:00 o'clock in Blessed Sacrament Church, 263 Clairmont Ave. Tonawanda (please assemble at church) Jerry was a proud member of the US Navy, serving in the Korean War, a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Blessed Sacrament Athletic Club. He loved music and dancing; he never missed a chance to dance a polka.
