"Jack" Of West Seneca, entered into rest July 8, 2015. Beloved husband of Marian (nee Basty) Barnes; devoted father of Richard J. (late Deborah) Barnes and Stephen E. Barnes; cherished grandfather of Josiah, Elizabeth, Brian, Rachael and Julia Barnes; loving son of the late John and Hazel (nee Heidenger) Barnes; dear brother of Joan (late Donald) Holland and the late Richard (late Marge), Dorothy (late Albert) Wilson, Mary (late Jerome) Murphy, Florence (late Robert) Finn, James J. (KIA, WW II), Robert (late Jean), Susan (late Robert) Lites and Leo (Barbara); life long best friend of Leo J. Chambers; also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd. near Lake Ave. on Tuesday (July 28th) from 3-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Queen of Heaven Church, 4220 Seneca St., West Seneca on Wednesday morning (July 29th) at 10:15 o'clock. (Please assemble at church). Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Buffalo Hospice in John's name would be greatly appreciated. Mr. Barnes was Navy veteran of WW II and the Korean War.
