Of Amherst, NY, entered into rest October 15, 2026. Devoted father of Courtney (David) Gandy; Cherished Papa of Harper; Dear Bonus-Papa of Matthew and Kathryn; Beloved companion of 18 years to the late Shelley Badrow; Loving son of the late John and Marguerite (nee Baumet) Grad; Also survived by other loving family and friends.

In addition to his career as a financial planner at Buffalo Wealth Partners, John was a former school teacher at Buffalo School 43, and spent time coaching football at Bishop Neumann and Bishop Timon. John was a resident of Washington D.C. for over 20 years. He will be greatly missed by his family.

Relatives and friends may visit the Lombardo Funeral Home (Snyder Chapel) 4614 Main St. near Harlem Rd. on Monday, October 26 from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph University Parish, 3269 Main St. Buffalo, on Tuesday morning, October 27 at 10 o'clock.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute.
