HEIDINGER, John J. of the Old First Ward, entered into rest January 1, 2026. Beloved close friend and former spouse of Martha (nee Frenette) Heidinger; devoted father of Michael (Chrissy) Heidinger, Susanne (Reginald) Henderson, and Sara Heidinger; cherished papa of Ethan McClain; loving son of the late Charles “Jack” and Elizabeth Heidinger; dear brother of Paul (Eileen), Joseph (late Theresa) Heidinger, Maryanne (late Michael) Nowadly, Thomas (Nancy) Heidinger, Molly (Charles) Sayler, Barbara (Rick) O’Gorek, and Robert Heidinger; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave., on Tuesday (January 6th) from 3-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 115 Oconnell Ave., Buffalo on Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock. Please assemble at Church. John spent the early years of his life as an Equipment Manager for the Buffalo Sabres. He was proud to also spend his time as President of Local 235 and 40 years as an usher and ticket taker for venues and events all around Buffalo. In lieu of flowers, donation in John’s honor may be made to Hospice Buffalo.
