LAVIN - John M. Of East Amherst formerly of Tonawanda, entered into rest February 13, 2023. Beloved husband of Patricia S. (nee Sheridan) Lavin; devoted father of Thea (Eric) Lange, Stephen (Jean) Lavin, Carolyn Lavin, and Terri (Scott Rice) Lavin-Ruh; cherished grandfather of Tess (Sean) McNally, Grace Herrman, Daniel Lange, Megan and Nathan Ruh, Thomas and Elizabeth Lavin; adored great-grandfather of Ava and John McNally; loving son of the late John S. and Josephine Lavin; dear brother of the late Charles and late Joan Lavin; also survived by many family and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel), 885 Niagara Falls Blvd., near Eggert/Sheridan Dr., Saturday from 9-11 AM, where a Funeral Service will immediately follow. Private entombment. John was a United States Navy Lieutenant Veteran where he served in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and the Pentagon. He then proudly served as a Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigations. In lieu of flowers, donations in Johns name may be made to U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
