John F. Lynch Jr.

A memorial service for John Francis Lynch,Jr. a licensed minister and veteran, will be held at 10AM Wednesday Dec. 2, 2015 in Kenmore Baptist Church, 10 Delaware Rd. Kenmore. Mr. Lynch, of Blasdell, died November 17, 2015 in the Buffalo Veterans Affairs Medical Center after a long illness. He was 66 years old. A native of Buffalo, Mr. Lynch lived most of his life in the Buffalo area. He was a Vietnam-era veteran, serving in the United States Navy in the late 1960's. After the service, he attended Buffalo State College and University at Buffalo. He worked a number of jobs over the years including as a laborer in Local 210, and as a dealer and pit boss in several major casinos in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. Later in life he became a minister, working in the Buffalo community. He studied theology at Houghton College and just before he became ill he started a course of study at Liberty University. He is survived by his wife of almost 17 years, the former Diane Dzielski, a son, Brion Scime, two sisters, Patricia Baez and Helen Jones, four grandchildren, two nieces and three nephews.
