John H. Schick

SCHICK- John H., of Buffalo, entered into rest on August 17, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Nancy R. (nee Lampert) Schick, devoted father of Jennifer (Patrick) Mullins and Jessica (the late John) Brown; cherished grandfather of Samantha, Elizabeth and Miles; loving son of the late James P. and Dorothy (nee Williams) Schick; dear brother of William B. (Patricia) Schick and the late Carol (Webber) Fraser and the late Mary (late Thomas) Clark; also survived by nieces, nephews and friends. John was an honorably discharged Veteran of the US Coast Guard. He worked for 40 years at Monroe Abstract & Title, starting in the mailroom and working his way up to Vice President. He retired in 2006. John enjoyed taking rides on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Traveling was another passion and Nancy and John traveled extensively in the United States. He enjoyed spending summers in the Adirondacks. He also enjoyed sailing in his spare time and cherished the time that he spent with his late dog, Sylvia. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel); 885 Niagara Falls Blvd. (near Eggert/ Sheridan Dr.) on Sunday, August 27 for a Celebration of John's life from 12-2pm with a service to follow at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center or Hospice Buffalo. Online condolences may be made on this page.
