John R. "Jack" Vaeth

VAETH - John R. Jack Of Tonawanda, entered into rest August 22, 2021. Beloved husband of 57 years to Margaret Mary Peggy Vaeth; devoted father of Deborah (Robert) Kish, J. Timothy Vaeth and the late Catherine and AnneMarie Vaeth; cherished grandpa/papa of Matthew, Alexandra and Ava Kish and William and Aubrey Vaeth; dear brother of Barbara (late Deacon Frank) Shaughnessy, Patricia (late Donald) Scheg, Marie (Arthur) Leo, James (Judy) Vaeth, Kathleen Vaeth and the late Joseph J. (late Monica) Vaeth, Richard V. (late Mickey) Vaeth, Thomas G. (Glenda) Vaeth and Margaret Ann Vaeth; brother-in-law of JoAnne Moore (William Paszkiewicz); also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel), 885 Niagara Falls Blvd., near Eggert/Sheridan Dr., on Monday (Aug 30) from 3-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Newman Center at UB, 495 Skinnersville Rd., on Tuesday morning at 9:30 AM (please assemble at Church). Inurnment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Jack was a US Army veteran and member and trustee of the Knights of Columbus Council #16433. He spent his life in the building and construction trades, starting in his family lumber business to building material sales, to owning and operating his own general contracting company. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and could be found on a golf course more often than not. If desired, donations may be made in Jacks name to Hospice Foundation.
