With heavy hearts we regret to announce the passing of our loved one, Johnnie Mae Harris-Wright of Buffalo. On June 13, 2024, she entered into eternal rest at Sister's Hospital, surrounded by family and close friends. Johnnie was born on April 10, 1937 to Johnny and Inez (Pettigrew) Willams in Bessemer, Alabama. She graduated from Wenonah High School in Birmingham, Alabama and in 1955 relocated to Buffalo. Johnnie worked at West Seneca Developmental Center, Geneva B. Scruggs, and other caregiver agencies. Johnnie gave her life to God at an early age which gave her grace and strength thru the years. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Johnnie also loved to dance and enjoyed relaxing by her backyard garden. Devoted wife of Terry Wright. Loving mother of Kevin Williams, Gerald Williams and wife, Frankie (Lisa) Harris, and precedeased by her oldest son, Arthur Williams. Step-mom to Terri (Kevin) Davis and daughter Taylor. Proud grandmother of 9 grandchildren; Alexis (Robert) Graves, Kaine Harris, Daylon Williams, Kyle (Alyssa) Harris, Kyaira Harris, and Kaleb Harris. Great-grandmother of Riyan Graves, Theodore Williams, and soon-to-be Baby Harris and Baby Graves. Cherished oldest sister of Major ( late Thelbert) Pringle, Willie (Peanut) and wife Barb Sullivan, and predeceased by Mary Bell. Also survived by her caring God-daughter, Robin Raynor- Robinson; her predeceased life-long best friend, Billie Jean Raynor; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family would like to especially thank Betty Brown and family; Audrey and family; Joletta and family; and Pettigrew family for all their kindness, concern, love, and assistance they have given us at this time. A heartfelt thank you to neighbors, friends, and family that have reached out to us at this time with meals, phone calls, condolences, and prayers. Also, to the staff and nurses at Sister's Hospital for their compassion and care given to our lovely Johhnie Mae. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME, Northtown Chapel, 885 Niagara Falls Blvd, on Thursday, June 20 from 11-12; with the funeral to begin at 12.
