Joni V. Novick

NOVICK - Joni V. Age 61, passed away after a long illness on Jan 30, 2021. Joni was born on March 23, 1959 in Abilene, TX. Her parents were Pastor Thomas E. Reiff and his wife Barbara J. Reiff. She attended school at Judson College IL, Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene TX, and ECCC in Buffalo NY - where she earned an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. Joni married her husband Daniel Novick in 1987 at Dyess AFB, TX and helped him to serve our country in the USAF until his retirement in 2002. The couple then moved to Buffalo NY where she raised her family and engaged in her devoted passion of helping children: Joni had 4 children (Theresa, Rachael, Jeremiah, and David). Additionally, she also provided emergency care for almost 30 foster children over 10 years, adopted 2 children from Erie County foster care, and selflessly taught dozens of children as a child care teacher in the East Aurora area. The greatest accomplishment of Joni Novicks life was that she brought unconditional love and joy to hundreds of children during her entire life. Joni is survived by her husband Daniel Novick, her children (Theresa, Rachael, David, Katherine, and Jakob), her Mother (Barbara Joan Reiff), and her brothers and sisters (Tomi Robinson, Robin Baldwin, Todd Reiff, and Jill Stovall). Joni was blessed with 6 grand-children (Braeden, Alyssa, Benjamin, Blake, Brett, and Kaiden). Joni Novick will be interred at the Baptist Cemetery in Omaha AR. To honor Joni, friends and family can make a memorial donation to benefit the college education of her youngest children (Katherine and Jakob Novick, twins, age 15).
