Joseph J. Biondo Sr.

BIONDO, Joseph J. Sr. Of Grand Island, entered into rest on July 29, 2024. Beloved husband of 60 years to Mary Catherine (nee Gettings) Biondo. Joseph was a US Navy Veteran and was stationed in Newport, RI on the USS Yosemite during the Vietnam War. Joseph enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his 8 grandchildren that always put a sparkle in his eyes. Besides his wife, Joseph is survived by his children, Lisa Fike, Joe (Amy) Biondo, Amy (Tim) Edwards, Heather Meyers. He is preceded by his son, Noah Biondo. Joseph is also survived by his cherished grandchildren Amber, Ashley, Matthew, Sarah, Emily, Alura, Kaeley, and Lauren, his brother Angelo (late Jean), and sister Diane Skorka (late Nick). He is preceded by his brothers Frank (Carm) and Paul Biondo. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst (near Eggert Rd.) on Wednesday July 31st from 4-8PM, where a Funeral Service will be held Thursday August 1st at 11:00AM. Interment in Assumption Cemetery, Grand Island.
