DEMATTEO, JOSEPH T. of Williamsville, NY, entered into rest on July 30, 2026. Beloved husband of over 50 years to Barbara (nee Hattler) DeMatteo, dearest father of James (Kelly) DeMatteo, Kathy (Michael) Penksa, Joseph DeMatteo, Danielle (Jeremiah) Dabolt, and Alison DeMatteo; cherished Papa of Michael, Mya, Samantha, James, Kailey, Molly, Harper, and Luke; son of the late James and Rose (nee Moscato) DeMatteo, brother of Carol (late Raymond) McCarthy of Liverpool, NY and John DeMatteo of Florida; also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Joseph was a retired police detective from the Town of Tonawanda, where he worked for over 33 years. No prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Town of Tonawanda Police Club.
